Keepsakes made from one photograph

When a pet dies there is usually one photograph the family keeps going back to — the one on the phone, the one that looks most like them. Limency exists to take that photograph off the screen and turn it into something with weight: glass that catches the afternoon light, slate that sits in a garden, metal that moves in the wind.

We hold no stock. Every piece is made after the order is placed, because every piece carries one animal’s name, one set of dates, one face.

What we make

Seven crafts, each with its own workshop and its own materials:

How your piece is made

  1. You order, and upload the photograph along with the name, dates or wording you want.
  2. Within 24 hours we email you a design proof — a picture of exactly what we will make.
  3. You have 24 hours to ask for changes. Reply and we revise the proof. If we do not hear from you, we begin production using the proof as sent, so your order is not delayed.
  4. Production takes 3–5 business days.
  5. Delivery takes 5–12 business days within the United States and 8–17 business days internationally. Every order is tracked.

Where our pieces are made

Our pieces are produced in Vietnam, China and the United States.

We work with a small number of partner workshops rather than a single factory, because these crafts are not interchangeable. Cutting and soldering stained glass, engraving slate, and printing fleece are different trades, needing different equipment and different hands. Each design is made where that particular craft is done well, and orders ship from the workshop that made them.

Our mission

That no pet a family loved is remembered only by a file on a phone. We turn that one photograph into an object — made to order, from their own picture, never a template with a name dropped into it.

Our vision

To become the shop people send a grieving friend to: the one that gets the face right, says plainly when it will arrive, and then arrives when it said it would.

What we hold ourselves to

  • Show the work before we make it. Every order gets a design proof within 24 hours. You see the piece before it exists, and you can change it while it is still only a picture.
  • One honest price. No countdown clocks, no invented “original” prices, no discount that resets at midnight and runs again tomorrow. The price on the page is the price.
  • Fix it rather than argue about it. If a piece is defective, damaged in transit, or simply not what the proof showed, we remake it or refund it. We ask for photographs, not paperwork.
  • Say where things come from. Our workshops are in Vietnam, China and the United States, and we name them on this page rather than leaving the question open.
  • Answer like a person. Messages are answered within one business day, by someone who can look up your order and your proof.

Our guarantee

If a piece arrives with a manufacturing defect, is damaged in shipping, or does not match the design proof we sent you, tell us within 30 days of delivery and send photographs. We will remake it free of charge or refund you in full — whichever you prefer.

Because every piece is personalized with a particular name and photograph, a returned item cannot go to anyone else, so we do not accept change-of-mind returns. That is precisely why we send the proof first: so you see the piece before it exists.
